Culbertson Renewables Ltd ("we", "us", "our") is the data controller for personal data collected through this website and in the course of providing our plumbing, heating, renewables and electrical services. We are registered in Scotland under company number SC764046, with our registered office at 13a Bridge Street, Edinburgh, Scotland, EH15 1DB.

2. Personal data we collect
- Enquiry details — when you use our enquiry form, call us or email us: your name, phone number, email address, the service you are interested in, and anything you tell us about your project.
- Customer records — if you become a customer: your address, details of your property relevant to the work, quotations, invoices, payment records and correspondence.
- Certification and compliance data — details required to register installations and certificates with bodies such as MCS, Gas Safe and NICEIC, or to support funding applications you ask us to help with.
We do not knowingly collect data from children.
3. How and why we use your data
- To respond to your enquiry and provide quotations (necessary to take steps before entering a contract).
- To carry out and administer work you instruct, including scheduling, invoicing and aftercare (performance of a contract).
- To register installations, notify certifications and comply with building, gas and electrical regulations (legal obligation).
- To keep business and accounting records (legal obligation and legitimate interests).
- To respond to complaints and protect our legal position (legitimate interests).
We do not send marketing emails unless you have agreed to receive them, and you can opt out at any time.
4. Who we share your data with
- Certification and accreditation bodies (for example MCS, Gas Safe Register, NICEIC) where required to register or certify work.
- Manufacturers and warranty or guarantee providers (for example for boiler warranties or insurance-backed guarantees).
- Funding bodies such as Home Energy Scotland, where you ask us to support an application.
- Our professional advisers, accountants and IT/service providers who support the running of our business.
We do not sell your personal data.
5. How long we keep your data
We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry. Customer, certification and financial records are kept for as long as required by law and by the guarantee or warranty periods that apply to your installation, after which they are securely deleted.

- access a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate data or complete incomplete data;
- ask us to delete your data in certain circumstances;
- object to, or ask us to restrict, certain processing;
- data portability in certain circumstances;

7. Cookies
This website is a simple informational site and does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Fonts used on the site are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests those files from Google's servers when a page loads; Google's own privacy policy applies to that request.
If we add analytics or other cookies in future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.
