Midlothian covers a lot of ground between the edge of Edinburgh and the Pentlands, and the housing changes as you go. Older stone terraces in the town centres, big post-war estates around them, and a large amount of recent new build on the edges of Dalkeith, Bonnyrigg and Penicuik.
